Motorhome parking feud between neighbours

When I lived in my terraced house in London I preferred to park outside my own house, particularly because I could run EHU cable form 1st floor across to the lamp standard and down to MH. Second option was outside neighbours who did not object. Third option was at end of street where there were garden flank walls of houses in a cross street.

However those options were sometimes closed, so I had to pak opposite someones house, as that is the way of life in crowded terraced streets. If later one of the 3 options became available I moved the MH.

But as the Chairman of the Magistrates said it is a public road over which no resident has special rights.

No excuse for intimidation but I can understand the frustration seeing not just the campervan, but a Motorhome AND at least one more vehicle (car?) parked outside my house. 😳

Read my post #2 above. In streets like that it is unusual to be able to park in the same place all the time.

How many people when at home look out of the front window at the vehicles parked in the road. Do they also object to the houses 'parked' opposite, which are a lot larger than MHs.

The couple found guilty look as though they were looking for a 'fight', especially after visits to the bottle, according to the police evidence.

I would have hoped for a little more compromise , with neighbours eg putting one of the MoHo on storage site . The other way to respond by the other side would have been to buy a few old bangers (taxed and MOT and ins ) and permanently park them when the two MoHo were out ? Better than a big court day :devil:
::bigsmile:

Hi guys I’m the guy in the article. At no time in 8 years have two motor homes been parked outside my house. I own multiple vehicles as I own my own business and all those are stored in business premises. We have only had issues with neighbours that believe as they live in social housing they have a right to their own parking space, it’s a public road. You all know how the media like to twist things…

We had issues when we lived in a terraced house in London with a neighbor who thought he owned the bit of road outside his house. There's also a road nearby in Sandsend at the coast where there are unofficial private parking notices on a fence next to the road. It's pretty simple if you want private parking buy a house with parking!

We had a problem in St Stephen where we deliberately parked across a fellas drive, because we could not get in our drive.

Why? Because his wife parked her car across our drive!!

It was settled in a very friendly manner after that!
