Motorhome fridge

I have just replaced the gas valve on my motorhome fridge as it has not worked on gas since we bought it. We have turned it on and the gas is coming through but the gas light on the front of the fridge is flicking does this mean it is not working or is this normal in that setting. Thankyou in advance

What model fridge is it? And is the gas light flashing?

Mine flickers as it’s trying to light. Once lit,the light stays on. When first using the fridge it might take three or four goes at lighting. Turn the knob to full on. Have you got gas at your hob?

It’s a dometic 7271 and the gas light is flashing

My fridge,RM4401LM, sometimes lights ok but the flashing light keeps flashing, I just turn the switch off and the fridge stays alight you just have to keep a check that it is alight

We have had a similar fridge repaired and had the same problem when we first used it. It turned out that the factory fitted isolation switch worked in the opposite way to the others in van.
