Morning all, does anyone have any recommendations for where to get an MoT carried out in the Chichester, Worthing area please. The vehicle is a 5 tonne, 8 metre, A class, so ideally needs to be somewhere with the light commercial/lgv facilities.
Many thanks
Mike

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
I believe that your local council must provide MOTs & usually do this wherever they service their own vehicles (cars, vans, trucks buses etc) & its not in their interest to look for work on the motorhome.

Many thanks @Lenny HB, @PORKSTER, @Wagoneer, I have spoken to Lancing commercials and unfortunately they are unable to accommodate the size.
Thaanks again, Mike
How big is your van? they deal with big commercial vehicles or is just for MOT they can't accommodate you as the big commercials go across the road to the VOSA test centre?

Used them for last 6 or 7 years. Plenty of space for larger vehicles.

Hi @Lenny HB, they are unable to cope with larger motorhomes because their ramp is not big enough, and where it is sited a long vehicle can't access it. we are 8 mtrs in length.

Their website says upto 3500cwt.
Rang them today as my MH MOT is due early August and the receptionist said maximum wheelbase of 5.4m
Mind you when I told her mine was 8.61m she asked if that was the height, she also said 5 ton would be ok.
Think I will drive it there soon so they can physically see it
