Hi all,
Looking for some advice here.... we are thinking about 90 days in Spain and Portugal later this year followed by 90 days in a non schengen country (suggest Morocco) then back to Spain France and Italy for the next 90 days. Never been to Morocco, looking for advice please.

Need to be out of Spain Portugal for180 days

I think you've misunderstood the rules, it's 90 days max in every 180 days on a rolling basis, so 90 days in any Schengen country followed by 90 days in a non Schengen country (IE Morocco) followed by 90 days in a Schengen country is okay, in fact it may even be possible in the future to apply for an extension to the 90 days but if it is granted you would have to depart Schengen from the country that gave you the extension, so most likely France or Spain unless other ferry routes become available, I believe this will be when the ETIAS visa system comes on line.

So, in theory one could holiday in Spain for 90 days then take a boat to Morocco for 90 days then back to Spain for 90 days then over to Bulgaria for 90 days then over to France for 90 days........... etc etc ?

But you would need to come back to the UK for your MOT and you'd have to check with your insurance as well if they'll allow you to do that.

We haven't been to Morocco for about 100 years but at that time you couldn't stay for 90 days? ?
I cant remember how long we were there but we had a bit of a confrontation on our exit--- we overstayed--- but our story satisfied them and we didn't get a fine😂

Or you might need to change Insurance companies to one that does.

3 months is thst standard visa. I have spoken to people who have got extensions by applying to the local police.

Under normal conditions you can import your van for 90 days and tour the country for that duration. You and the van must leave together, there are a few, strict, exceptions but these would not normally be needed. Morocco is a wonderful country to visit with great diversity between the north and south of the country. Although there is a high police presence, they are always very smartly dressed and always very courteous. The only time I was stopped, at a routine check point, was to be welcomed and was I enjoying my stay. The people also were always very friendly. Very reasonable prices, diesel about 75p/Lt, etc.

Wonderful place, it helps greatly if you avoid the tourist traps and have a few words of please and thankyou’s etc. We have been a few times and only had one bad experience of poor water and boy did we suffer. BUT that was way down south. Many modern service stations now with certified drinking water although more are charging for a fill the further south you go....I think we have had to pay a whole £2.50 for 180 Litres.

Morocco, everybody I’ve spoken to has endorsed a trip, it’s a must. I’m struggling to convince my other half. We’re going to try Eu 60 days and Croatia 99 days. We want to try and reserve a four weeks block

Great country. Stay away from the tourist traps as you will get ripped off. Pick up a few words of da lingo and bribes work with the "Authorities" Very nice people and place though and will be a booming tourist place for the UK in the years to come.
