I am about to change the batteries in our Mopeka sensors and think I may need some grease, will this sonic gel do the job

The one you are looking at might be a bit too runny Steve, I'm using this dielectric silicone grease that is a paste that stays in place on the sensor. :xThumb:

I would think not.
This gel is the same one that is used for hand held sonic scanning in clinics etc, it is water soluble so l think it would dry out in a couple of days.
Mopeka recommend this grease.

By coincidence I have just found the original and unopened little capsule that came with the Mopeka. Previously i had phoned Gas-it to ask which make grease they recommended. The guy didn't seem to know what I was talking about, but said that they did stock silicone grease if I wanted to try it. Luckily as it turned out I didn't go for it, but wondered if they still actively sell the Mopeka.
