MOBY GOES TO TURKEY. A tam and pups adventure.

No idea .
Aw right it's just I'm heading back up El Jadida direction and would have took a spin on up to Tangier area to see if he needed any help getting sorted with sim cards & currency etc and get him settled in

Well the turnover was so great that from memory I think John said they had a truck deliver every day.
Think there used to be a Guiness brewery somewhere in Acton (I wondered what the smell was when I was working down there in the late 70's and someone told me it was the Guiness brewery ?) so you would have been getting it straight from there probably ?

They each got a wee handful of food when we got back to the camper. But not too much as they're restaurant dogs. They even have kennels .... spoilt lol.

Then we headed of to see the temple of apollo

So we went to didyma to see the temple of Apollo. To be honest you could pretty much see most of it from outside the fence but it was only 130Tl to get In £3.35 so it was worth going inside .

Was very interesting. ... cheers to CaptainPaul for telling me it was there.

The information boards will give you more info than I could remember

After the temple yesterday we drove an hour and a half along the bumpiest road I've been on outside of morroco to a small seaside village that was again recommended by dave n marsha kiyikislacik , and it's my favourite place in Turkey so far. The village itself is nothing special but there's some old ruins to explore , a castle up the hill , nice wee parking spot at the harbour side with lots of comings and goings to watch and best of all there's about 10 lovely friendly street dogs , I spent ages with them yesterday they just love human interaction....

We're just staying here again tonight , still a bit to explore and theres a fresh fish stall so i might go get something for tonights dinner. it's still not tropical but sunny days and up to around 16/17° daytime. The mosques here definitely have a different sound to those in Morocco.... the singing is quite relaxing here whereas the ones in Morocco I jumped out my skin everytime it started.

Do all those stray dogs not bother the livestock? Sure they would be shot in UK
The goat/sheepherder isn't keen on them he has one big dog of his own ( you can see him in the pics with the sheep ) but the dogs just bark at them they don't seem to bother them. That's the thing I find really strange here , there's cats around chickens. Dogs around cats , goats, sheep, cows all co exsisting and there's no fights or chases etc. Yet my dogs always want to chase cats despite me never encouraging it . When you sit outside here it's like being on a farm all I can hear is sheep ,cows ,dogs ,roosters etc ..

Really like this wee town/village not sure which ... the locals are all very friendly and welcoming , unfortunately none speak english so conversation is difficult .. its sign language and nods with the occasional laugh but in truth I've no idea what they're saying lol.

But I've been for a fish for dinner and to the local bakers

These are my wares
20240202_142836_copy_1209x1612.jpg

No idea what kind of fish it is but fresh off the boat and cost 180tl ...about £4.50

And from the bakers , some sort of bread , a pinwheel I'm assured is sweet and a piece of chocolate brownie type cake ... 70tl for the 3 about £1.75

I've just eaten the brownie ...

No sign of any baklava as yet.

It's normal on any small farm in the UK too. Just being raised together does it.
