Is there such a thing as a company who will visit a motorhome and weigh it rather than taking the motorhome to a weighbridge? A bit like a mobile tyre fitter

It needs to be officially recognised by the government

I paid less for mine. Make sure you get one that does at least 1500 kgs as you measure each wheel by just driving over it.
No need to pay anybody after buying one.
it is German, not Chinese.
I would check their website out and importing it as I think that was the cheapest method

It has to be official for the documentation unfortunately but thank you

The weighbridges are booked up for a couple of weeks so was hoping to get a mobile vehicle weighing company if such things exist. Like a mobile tyre fitter

Thanks but it was the ‘officially recognised by the government’ bit that I was curious about.

I don’t understand the requirement for it to be certified. I can understand that you want it to be accurate. I’ve never understand people who can get a free weight, or pay to have it printed off and they pay.

If you get pulled over and they think you are over weight they will weigh you, and what THEIR weigh bridge says is what they are going to take as the weight. Not a piece of paper that you hold.

A lot of MOT stations have weighbridges on the testing equipment, especially the ones geared up to larger vehs. Mine gets an accurate weigh every year. Axle separately or wheels separately.

Try local quarries or local stone companies as they normally have a weighbridge and it will need to be calibrated as they charge customers by weight.
Scrap yards too but make sure it’s a clean yard your going into.

I suppose, treat a weighbridge weight, like an MoT only true at the time of testing. If you ever get stopped and weight checked by VOSA, you are given a certificate saying you were under weight on that journey only. Hunt around locally for a weighbridge and get a free or cheap weight check. It will give you a starting point for any future journeys.

Don't really understand what the op is wanting, as all have said there are numerous places to get an official weight, but what is the form he has to fill in, iv never seen one that needs it but he is from IOM, is there some sort of regulation there that needs it?

If you have a agricultural food seller they may have weighbridge to weigh the grain etc arriving

Hasn't come back to say, maybe downrating then DVLA will want a weighbridge ticket.

Ask your local trading standards office who to use. The trading standards weighbridges issue fully compliant certificates.
