Does anyone know a good mobile engineer in the Coventry / Nuneaton / Leicester area. Google does not come up with much. I have a year old Hobby Optima. I had it all drained down for winter with taps open. Then the other night unknown to me someone went in it, turned the power on and so the submersible pump was running dry all night. I think it's knackered.

If it's the Whale type pump it's very easy to change. I used to carry a spare after having one fail abroad. Take the large cover off top of water tank and look in. The Whale pumps have a sealed lead attached and you just have to disconnect from a junction block

Thanks all. According to my handbook the pump is a Reich Tandem submersible pump. I'll take Geoff's advice and see if I think I can replace it. If not I'll get one the engineers named above to look at it

Thanks again. John

Just out of interest I looked in leisure shop direct at the pump you mentioned. It does look like it should be easy to change as the design is very similar to the Whale. I've attached images you can see all you need to do is disconnect cable and replace(one design it's built in with cap for water tank. Just look at top of water tank and check which you need
Hope it is as easy as the one I had
Regards Geoff
