2 breakdowns since 06. Clutch spring let go, replaced on warranty at 6 months.
Fuel pump packed up out in the boonies due to sand contamination from Tesco fuel, feckers. On a desert racer too! would they entertain my claim? Would they f......
Correct - give it the beans. However the picture can be a bit deceptive. Its not that long, about 2 klicks, the surface is not the best and the sheep like to sit in the dips for the heat off the tarmac. They are beyond dumb, they are Donald Dumb! I am a bit wary of sheep after having collided with a dip slumbering dafty at 80 mph on a dark winter Ayrshire road. Our van didn't look too good after that; mind you neither did the big black Tup, or my pants!
On our fourth and fifth KTM’s,
First, no problems in 12 years. 990SD
Second broke down in Portugal last year, rocker arm bearing. 12 model Duke 690.
Third was a Xmas present for the wife, she didn’t like it so that got sold with 212 miles on it and I did half of them. Duke 390.
Fourth is a Duke 790,traded the 990 for that and so far had 2 oil leaks, 2 water leaks and a new dash under warranty.
Fifth is a new Duke 690, another Xmas present for the wife. Lots of warranty claims on that,
New dash
New clutch master cylinder
New fuel tank
New lock set
Had it nearly a year now and she hasn’t rode it yet due to her being poorly this year. ?
Do I like KTM’s , hell yes. ?
Never happen. Its TMOFN! I could lay down in the road for a nap and the only issue would be having my ear nibbled by one of they big fluffy blonds! Now there's an idea....
Its a very, very quiet unlisted single tracker from no place to no where. That's why I like it.
