Hi all we are experiencing very low flow rate on hot water in the kitchen mixer tap which is a bit baffling as the shower and wash basin mixers are fine and good flow I have done the usual checks for leaks and cannot find anything? Am wondering if the tap is just fired up as the cold has a really good flow?🤔

Remove & clean the flow straightener on the kitchen tap. They have a fine mesh filter that easily clogs.

Landy Andy too quick 😁

Could be a scale build up in the cartridge, you could try swapping the tap or just the cartridge from the washbasin, apart from the kitchen tap swiveling they are the same Reich tap.

I don’t think I can get the flow straightener out but will experiment

is it easy to take out the cartridge Lenny?

If the cold flow is OK and it's only the hot that's slow it's not likely to be the strainer thingy though they do clog up but that would affect both. Possible cartridge blocked.

I think so I've only taken the taps apart to repair the microswitches. After taking the leaver off remove the Torx head grub screw at the base on the rear of the tap and the body slides off.
While you are at replace the socket cap screw that hold the lever on, they are unplated steel and rust well, they are only screwed into nylon so they will still come out. I replaced them with SS screws in all three taps.

I’ll give it a go when its raining again, hopefully that won’t be till we get back to the UK?😂

Thanks everyone for your suggestions it turned out to be the short pipe connecting the submersible pump inside the tank had come off so assume in the process lost pressure tightened up jubilee clip all working again😊
Down to some very potholed roads on the way here I think some of them would shake your teeth loose😂😂

When I still had the submersible pump that use to happen on mine at least twice a year.

Got to say that has happened to us a number of times. In the end I used two jubilee clips and some plumbers sealant. ‘Belt and braces’ I know but not come off again since.

Poor design in my opinion

Yes a bit like the tap that drains the tank there have been a few problems with them over the years🙄

We have a good flow on the kitchen tap and shower but bathroom tap down to a trickle. Anyone any ideas/instructions?

If like ours all taps are fed from the same pump, probably a blockage of some sort, between the pump and the bathroom tap ?

This was the problem with my MH and the microswitch needed changing. It depends on what water pump system you have fitted?
