Million Pound Motorhomes (new)

The self build looks good for a young couple travelling with house rent helping them to explore . Much more interesting than the first series.

Yes better than the first series.

I didn't realise it was a new one so might have to go to catch-up.

The title's a bit misleading as they also covered more humble units. The show title put me off. I would have watched a show that encompassed all units had I known.

I thought Matt Allwright's presentation of his California (which has previously appeared in other programmes he's presented) was a bit strange, especially the bit about the awning! Not to mention the awkward segue into the bit on barbecues and the irritating implication always made with campervans (similarly was done with the young couple's self build) that you can just rock up anywhere and drop a boat into the water, or stop and 'barbie'. At that point I just thought 'there are several YouTubers who show their vans and van lives more professionally and interestingly than this'. I like Matt and have found a number of his programmes interesting and informative, but this - apart from his musicianship - wasn't one of his better offerings IMV.

But overall it was a better programme than the last series. I liked the bit on the self-builders, and the family touring the US with their young kids. I was more aghast about and interested in the 'campsite' the American couple with the £1.6m motorhome went to than about their actual massive motorhome. I guess it's quite a relief that the latter didn't appeal to me at all, since there' no point in aspiring to something of that size, style or budget!! 😆

I do agree that the title is completely misrepresentative though.

Just watched it on catch-up and it was OK, and I agree better than the original series. :giggle:

I was amazed that in the US they now have RV community estates where you can park up your RV next to your holiday Bungalow, a bit like the flying communities in the US where houses and small hangers are built off a single private runway, when I was flying I really fancied that idea.

A mini version at Caceres ?

Having been watching Extreme RVs on Sky, some big rigs on that show and they also go into a lot of the build details.

Some of the extras shown make a Concorde or Morelo look cheap, on one RV the paint job was the cost of a Morelo😳😳😳

Bet it was overweight! They even had potted plants in it.

Enjoyed it tonight

Wow those Newell RVs between 2.4 and 2.6 million dollars.

Didn’t that Shavonn lady living full time in the Autotrail have a lovely attitude to life, wonderful, she will live a long time with her view on life.

As long as the money holds out!

Just watching it on catch up. Noted that the Carthago with the badass wheels had a “fun” number plate

In the same way as the caravans and 5th wheels, not even motorhomes...

It’s wrongly named that series, whilst it includes some very expensive ones it also covers self builds, trailers and ‘normal’ motorhomes.
We’ve started watching since discovering it isn’t just million pound motorhomes.
