Millau bridge… over or under it?

Took the first two pics then popped into the visitor centre for the last. Wasn’t too fussed about paying €30 to traverse it though.

It may be a painful truth,but the French do know how to knock up a Leviathan out of steel. Le Eiffel tower ?? Twice the height of Blackpool tower a later and shallow copy. Canal Locks, a French invention, plenty more examples as well.

I spent 2 years in Chile on a vast telecomms project in the 90s all the late 19th century rail bridges looked like Horizontal Eiffel towers because Eiffel spent many years as chief structural engineer for the Chilean railways so his bridges use same fundamental ideas as the Tower..British investors and banks funded the Chilean railways back then too.
