Now we're coming into winter we've decided to get some microfibre towels both for Mark and the dogs (I have a Hammas towel) although he won't share their towels.

We do have a dog bag for Poppy but as she isn't going out much due to her snapped ACL we just need a towel for her. Harry doesn't like the bag and managed to get a front leg out even though it was fitted properly round the neck... no idea how, but he's very flexible!

Can anybody recommend dog and human microfibre towels? It doesn't matter so much for the dogs but Mark would like a decent quality which dries well and is easy to dry afterwards hanging from the rail in the washroom, the dog towels will have to dry there as well but don't need to be such a good quality as long as they do the job.

I have the velvet finish sort, like the invool above, I dry body and then wrap around hair. I do use a small cotton Terry towel (hand towel size) for finishing off body though for extra comfort. The Terry towel doesn’t get very wet and the microfibre towel dries very quickly. Best of both worlds!

Decathlon microfibre towels are the best ones out there.
Changed from another brand of microfibre towel which we were not happy with after recommendations from other Funsters

Absolutely agree with the Decathlon towel recommendation above!

We use these, different colours for humans and dogs of course!

We have 2 mega size and it took some time to change our drying habits as you have to pat dry rather than wipe but once you crack this they're great.

We use these on our dogs and they work well in the van. For us, the Decathlon towels are the best.

Had the decathlon large towel and now have mountain warehouse ( fluffy type - looks more like towelling) both are better than others we've tried.

We have the ones from Decathlon, they do from hand size to beach towel, we use a hand one to take excess water off then dry with larger one. Both dry in no time

Mark would prefer one which is like towelling rather than the suede type and the dogs will have whatever I buy for them. I'm going to check out both the Decathlon and Mountain Warehouse towels to see which would work better.

I did love those surf coats but they both hate having to "wear" anything which is a shame.

Mountain Warehouse have some that are suede-like in feel and others that more towel-like to touch. We went for the latter.

If anyone is going to the NEC there was a stall there selling them if you have to have a good feel before purchasing? Trimmed with strips of satin BUT no prices shown.

Surely that is classed as unusual conditions for a sale;)

If you’re on Hup then use a hair drier. Wonderful feeling hot air drying no wet towels warms the van at the same time. Get partner to do your back?

I was always told that if you need to ask the price then you can't afford the item!

We just use the cheap Tesco microfibre cloths to start with and then normal towels which of course don't get really wet and all dry quickly at the front of our A Class, plenty of room to spread them out.

We're in a 5.4m PVC and the only place to dry is hanging things up in the washroom, and even then we need to be a bit inventive to dry 2 dog towels and 2 human towels at the same time.

Decathlon towel every time.
