Got Michelin camper tyres 225 75 r16 they are 2015 so going to change due to age they are on a tag axle so grip on front drive wheels is not good thoughts on staying with Michelin or continental vanco
 
Ours are continental, I'll replace with the same, never known a tyre last so long. Over 40k miles on them now and even the fronts are OK. Wasn't mentioned at the MOT but they must be down to 3 or 4mm by now.

Conti‘s and think about Vancontact 4 season tyres, great in the wet and grass. Next best thing to Grabbers

We had Michelin on when we first bought our Moho, then changed to Continental at 7 yrs, at a time when Michelin couldn't supply my size, and we couldn't believe how much quieter they were. Set the pressures as recommened by Continental and had a much smoother ride. Needed to change them earlier this year (age again) but could not get Continental rep to confirm that the new ones would be less than 6months old. ATS were able to supply Michelin Agilis3 only a few weeks old, and at a better price, so have bought them. These are much quieter than the original ones and I am running them at the same pressure I used for the Continentals.

The van came with Contis as supplied so just replace with the same. Very happy with them

I realise that this comparison is between car tyres but it’s still interesting that Michelin are not as goid as Contis in the wet.

Contis far better ride & grip than crappy Michelins but I wouldn't fit camper tyres ordinary van tyres are so much better.
Davanti 440 van tyres for me. Really pleased with them and running on 80 psi

I am a fan of continent but my current motorhome has nearly new Michelins so I want to get value out of them first.
As above.
I bought a secondhand set of as new Conti's last year. I'm just waiting for these Michelin's to wear out.
They have done 20K now and look like they will go to at least 26k.

I wonder if the MH manufacturer has any say in what tyres the chassis./cab is delivered with?
I checked last time I was at the dealership, and it would seem that new Carthago vans, even tag axel jobbies had Conti Vanco Camper tyres fitted, whereas when we picked ours up a few year back they had Michelin Agilis CP tyres.
Is it simply down to availability, or cost at the time to the chassis manufacturer, or do the converters have any say?

Our previous van had Continental. Current has Michelin.
To be honest, unlike others, I haven't noticed much difference between them.
I do however run the Michelins at a lower pressure than specified.

The cross climates that have replaced the Agilis camper tyres fitted when we bought the van are altogether better as regards grip and ride. Using the same pressures as when driving on the camper i.e. 65psi front, 79psi rear.

When I bought the current motorhome Continental tyres were cheaper than Michelins and I was advised to fit Vanco Camper tyres.
We were due tyres this summer but only needed three. The n/s front was replaced last year because it was damaged. The logical thing was to fit Continentals again.
Our motorhome has always been a fairly hard ride so I don’t think it would make any difference what tyres were fitted. The Continentals have worn well for six and a half years and only needed changing because they were there were cracks showing between the treads. We use the motorhome all year and found the Continentals seem sure footed in all conditions.
