Hi, Autotrail 634, can anyone point me to where mice can get in? Found some chewed plastic bags in a underseat locker & cleared them all out, found some evidence of droppings as well! Put 3 traps in overnight & have caught one of the little barstewards. Fail to see where they can get in though, any suggestions? Cheers.

You'd be amazed at the size of the holes they can squeeze through!
Where???

I asked the same question to a chap who came to sort out a rodent problem at home. He may have been romanticising but he said that if there's a gap/hole large enough to push a biro into then a mouse can get through it.

Remember the size of an HB pencil at school? That is all a mouse needs to enter the vehicle. You can start by putting wire mesh over your existing gas ports - should be dotted around in foot wells, under fridge, under sink, near cooker etc. Usually these are only a plastic disk about 2 or 3 inches across. There can also be gaos around the main struts where your cab joins the MH (if you have a coach built). Gaps around blown air heating pipes are also enough for your little furry friends.

I put poison down in the garage, they come for it a couple of times a year. It soon sorts them out. You leave it in the bags so it stays fresh and no mess to put out. ?

Edit: Roban brand ?

We have caught one in the past its a concern right now as no access to storage facility so we may have some visitors.

Thanks everyone, I purchased a set of four traps and after catching the one last night have set the other three up as well (this is war), 2 with peanut butter & two with chocolate. Must remember where they are though :Eeek: Just ordered some bait boxes & poison, will stick them on the ground under the van, then to pull everything out again & search for their entry.

The ones that have got into our van have like to chew the sponges we use for washing up. Got the have another try and find the remaining holes in the van before I take it back to storage after the weekend

Hope they're not fixed down? Remember it's takeaway only in restaurants at this time! :whistle2:
Hope you get rid of them soon!(y)

Don't forget to look under the bonnet.

Mine had set up a lovely, cosy residence in there once. :(

My MH is Kept in my big shed , 5 Mouse traps set with chocolate & peanut butter, I usually catch one most days , sometimes 4 in a One day , I just hope they don’t make it into the MH , there seems to be more than usual about for this time of year

We had visitors when we used to store our cheyenne635 they gained entrance by climbing up the wheel and then chewed through some of the cable grommets through to under the dash board .the other way was into the gas locker then emerging behind the drivers seat through a covenient vent in the wooden trim .i bought a electronic device and had no further trouble.i am not a mouse detective but the evidence trail was obvious if you know what I mean.
