Hello All,
Has anyone bought rubber matting to enable someone to go from a disability ramp on a motorhome to the roadway on a camp site? My wife uses an indoor electric scooter for trundling around which is obviously heavier than a normal wheelchair. We did park sideways on one site but that might not be possible on all sites. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thank you.

We use some green’false’grass matting from Lidl’s a couple of years ago. Any thing that stops the smaller wheels digging in. However my manual chair only weighs 8k.

Thank you Stitches 'n' Fluff. We tried that but it just ruckled underneath the chair. Together the weight is near 200k!

Probably not cost effective and the site owners may not like it.

Wider wheels or bigger wheels. I have seen some with far larger wheels going across grass. Perhaps it's just the wrong tool for the job.

I use these in MH. As you only need a small track you could use a waffle board and just cut them down the middle. They are made of fibreglass and very strong. Lay them like railway tracks. Drive on and lift the one behind up and put it down in front.
