- enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
What a little gem. Only 5 mins from the M6/M1/A14 junction in a little village called Catthorpe. Its still a working farm but has a large overspill car park that would easily take around 10 motorhomes, with no length restriction!
it cost £6 for the night (02/05/2019) and although no facilities around the hardstanding area, there are facilities, water, waste disposal available in the paddock, which is used for campers when its dry AND not being used for the animals! I am sure with a little encouragement, facilities might be made available near the hard standing area ….
There is a little petting area of sheep, calves etc with very good hand wash facilities next to them lol.
The farm has a large farm shop with fresh as well as frozen produce and is well worth getting there when its open (0900-1700) The shop also hosts a large café serving hot meals up until 1500 and then teas/coffees/cakes etc up until 1700.
There is a village pub about 2 minutes walk away (last photo) although the farm shop sells a vast array of wines and beers.
We rang to book and as we were going to get there after 7pm they just asked us to pop into the shop in the morning before we leave - big mistake …. I struggled to get my wife out of the shop, she came out armed with fancy biscuits for the grandchildren and a fancy cake for herself (all handmade!) and a card for an upcoming birthday !
