Ok, probably a basic question here, but here goes.
We will be picking up our new van shortly (Auto-trail V-line 635), which has the end seats that pull out and make up into the double bed. That's all fine. Once made up though, what do people do to make the bed up?
Don't really like the idea of sleeping bags.
So, is the answer to put a mattress topper on top of the cushions and then put a sheet over the topper, and then a quilt on top? Or do people just put a sheet straight over the top of the cushions?
We currently have a coachbuild with an island bed with a fitted sheet, so has been easy, but now just looking at best way forward with our forthcoming new van.
As usual, any comments much appreciated.

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
We use a thin duvet to lay on, protects the cushions, and also pads them out slightly masking any lumps and bumps.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, we had thought about a mattress topper placed inside a quilt cover to go over the laid out cushions.
The new van is due anytime now, so the excitement level is building :)

When we had a panel van we used raskelf mattress toppers, we used a zip on fitted sheet (also from Raskelf) on them. These were rolled in the locker during the day and just unrolled at night straight onto the cushions, it saved a lot of messing around.

You can get elasticated sheets made to custom sizes. We use them with them with a thin quilted thing underneath. They stay on permanently and during the day we spread a blanket over the one which forms a seat. The other bed folds out of the way so doesn't need protection. This is on a Murvi so a different bed design but you might be able to do something similar. We then have duvets to sleep under. Good quality duvets are best as they generally roll up smaller.
