Hi the wee-man has bean invited to perform at old folks home with other kids from York magic society just wondering would a 15 min turn do for him?
this will be his first public performance apart from the talent show he done and won at school

As long as he has enough material, he's happy enough doing it and his audience are enjoying it then as long as he wants in my opinion.

If all the kids are doing a turn you need to think how long the whole show will last, "old folks home" they might be all asleep within 10 minutes, I would say keep it short and snappy with his best tricks.

If there's a few of them, they might be repeating the same tricks ?

You will be able to tell from the smell if they go on too long.

As a wise person once said (and the internet doesn’t seem to be sure who said it first) - “Always leave them wanting more “.

And all the women of FUN chant "men always do".

15 minutes sounds fine. If there are a number of acts 10 minutes would be enough.

I would suggest 5 mins.. and that's actually quite a long time for performing tricks.. most peoples concentration is only a few mins, before they get bored.. elderly even less.

Think back to the last time someone showed you their holiday snaps or video.. I'm zzzzzzzzzz in a few minutes..

try a practice run at home. .. see how long it holds your focus
