Hi @everyone :hi: below & apologies for alerting you if you have already said that you aren't interested in this but don't want anyone to miss out!
@Mr Chrysalis has kindly organised the coach trip on the Isle Of Wight & needs to know if anyone wants to join us as there are still places - it's £12 per person plus £1 per dog (payment needed now please) so great value & you will be in excellent company! It's not a huge island so it's not long on the coach before & in between our scenic & interesting stops which are as active or relaxing as you choose to make them. Last year we walked as a group from the rally field to the ferry terminal, boarded the ferry as foot passengers (can take bikes free if booked in), some sat in the lounge on the boat & others went up on top to enjoy the views travelling across then the coach was waiting for us just outside the terminal. Our driver & tour guide was Albert who has lived on the island for many years as he married a local girl & he had many amusing tales to tell & information about the island as we travelled which certainly added to the experience! See thread https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/lymington-2019-isle-of-wight-coach-trip.195126/
Just ask or PM Chris or us if you have any queries.

The donkeys & ponies seemed very happy & used to visitors:

Godshill - quaint village & church where we had a lovely coffee & cake :inlove: in a cafe just below the church which had unique island character:

Others gave good reports of the Model Village.

Thanks for this. Of course the more we get the cheaper it will be for all of us. Just one point to clarify; there will not be any space in the coach for bikes!

Oops sorry - should have checked about bikes! Thought they could travel underneath in the luggage compartments but maybe not that kind of coach.

Well, I suppose they could. Let me reconsider my response. - if anyone wants to bring bikes please let me know and I will check with the coach company. I would think that the underslung boot would be big enough but not sure how they would fix down

Yarmouth had a charm of its own with the best fish & chips we have had for years! Loved the walkways between houses to the sea where locals were taking their daily swim:

Hi - sure @Mr Chrysalis will PM you with the info. about coach payment when he sees this & ferry info. here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/lymington-2019-isle-of-wight-coach-trip.195126/ posts #14 & #15 but have added important points below:

It's a good idea to buy ferry tickets a little in advance as it's not the biggest ferry & it's a busy time of year.
Many used Tesco Clubcard vouchers https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/boost/wightlink-isle-of-wight-ferries/UK-004657.prd (£2.50 = £7.50) last year. AA & Boundless members get 15% discount & C&CC members get 20% discount off the Wightlink website prices but even after booking through those clubs website links you may need to show your membership card when boarding along with tickets - it was the case last year.
We have emailed Wightlink to see if they will give us a Fun discount code again this year but no reply yet.
Foot passenger charges before any discount https://www.wightlink.co.uk/go/tickets-prices/foot-passengers/ are as follows:
Adult 16-59 £17.00 return
Senior 60+ £12.70 return
There's 25% discount for Blue Badge holders, Disabled Persons Railcard & ENCTS card holders https://www.wightlink.co.uk/go/accessible-travel-and-disabled-discounts/

******************* Early Reminder ************************

Thank you to all those who have already paid in full for this rally (y) - for everyone else listed below :hi: hope you don't mind us sending you an early reminder that the £43 balance is due before the deadline on 10 July as feedback from the reminder on the Stratford River Festival thread was that many thought that they had already paid & were pleased to be reminded! Doing all the admin. for these rallies is a bit of a task so getting it all sorted early helps us too. If you now know that you will be unable to attend then please let us know.
