For info the Shell Garage at Low Row on the A69 Several miles East of Brampton just over the border into Cumbria is still selling LPG and there are no immediate plans to discontinue so I am informed. Price 0.69p No other garage along the entire A69 between Newcastle and Carlisle sell it.

I used to get my fill ups at Crosby Moor Garage, a slight detour off the A69, onto the A689 near Carlisle Airport. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been past, the barrier gates have been drawn across the forecourt and it looks to be at least temporarily closed.

Crosby Moor garage was certainly open last week in March as I filled both my 10kg Safefill Cylinders , I normally use the Gulf Filling Stn on the A76 at Dumfries but the LPG pump there has been out of commission since November last year and by the looks of things it won't ever be fixed

I think they close at 4pm. Their Tel No. is 01228 573250.

They are very helpful, and filled up for me. I struggle to remember the last time I had attendant service, think it was back in the 70's.

That's interesting.... that's the one I usually use and yes it was/is listed in Filllpg as temporarily unavaible...However when I checked last week it was once again listed on Filllpg with a recent update date..
Heading that way Sun and I will check it out. !!!

Anyone heading into D&G at present there are only two garages selling LPG

DG71QU opening hours are limited at weekends but Monday to Friday everyday
Filling of Safefill cylinders allowed along with Gasit , Gaslow etc

LPG and diesel / petrol available via pay pump when forecourt is closed

(don’t allow filling of Safefill)
But fitted in LPG systems ok

Oh well that is a shame.. thats where i always refilled on my way back from Englandshire.
Don't do A74.
I may stop on way by on Sun and ask if it is gone 4ever.

Not been north for a while but seem to recall getting LPG at the shell garage on the A74 just above Carlisle , did I dream that , anybody know if they are still doing it

Love the A69, might just come up that way, very good memories of Low Row, did my last ever survey there before selling my business

Google independent suppliers not all lpg suppliers are in petrol stations. Paid 0.62 p today.

If you're on the east side of the A69 passing Morpeth on the A1, morissons in the centre of town is still 57.9pence litre and an easy detour off and back on the A1

Neil S..... For information.. stopped off on way past on way home today and the lad behind counter says they had an engineer in couple weeks ago and as far as he is aware it is definitely getting fixed when spares arrive....Hears hoping.

Unfortunately Crosby Moor garage has now closed, the nearest LPG to Crosby Moor is Little Row Services, just to the east of Brampton.
