Should there be some sort of covering on this..? I don’t like it as it is and if nothing is available I’ll make something up to sort it…

And just been looking at that picture and noticed a possible crack in the hose coming off of the inlet… I’ll have to have a look at that tomorrow in the daylight…

Yes there is a black cap specifically made for this fitting.. Autogas 2000 in Thirsk supplied me with one this week. Or you could look on eBay.

That looks like the internal part of a filler that goes through the van wall. Have a look here:

Don't know about a cover but I'd move that somewhere a little less prone to road/kerb/sleeping policeman damage.
As for a cover, you could look at various plastic food pots such as those containing salt, pepper, herbs, spices etc or aerosol tin lids

Yep, definitely needs a cover and I’d replace that hose.

it’s been nearly 3yrs since I had a van and I’ve forgotten most of what I knew…

Besides it’s got things on it I’m not used too… and don’t worry, I won’t start any threads about electric stuff…..

Whoever installed the system didn’t want to drill holes in the body/sill which is fair enough but that’s not a great place for it Garry

Definitely a cracked hose. It needs replacing ASAP. You can still use the gas that's in the bottles as the bottle inlet is on a non return valve. Treat yourself to a stainless steel braided one.
