Who would have thought that a pop up worktop extension could make such a difference to preparing a meal in the Moho kitchen. I even prefer the position of the new grab rail when it comes to getting in and out of the van. Clever hubby!

Have a small sheet of pine in the garage for over a year now thinking of exactly what you have done.
Am newly inspired seeing your work!
What are your underside catches like? I've a kitchen paper holder on the cooker/fridge side and was thinking of making it unattached to slot into holders and sit on top of that. It would be completely removeable and store vertically against the panel below the kitchen paper holder.

You should be marketing your idea!!!

Got the drop down shelf supports from Amazon. You just lift the shelf and it locks into place and push the lever to drop it down again. It did mean that a grab rail had to be removed but I find I actually prefer having a rail higher up and use it more than I did the old one.
Only wish we'd done it a few years ago.

Quite timely this thread.....

Great job on this thread, beautifully done, it's clearly very bespoke to that particular van.

Would people be interested in a smaller, more universally fitting fold up worktop extension, say around 400 x 300mm (16" x 12")? In a finish that would go with most existing decors, such as this?

I'm in the process of acquiring a small motorhome accessories business, and whilst it's not a priority right now I am thinking of future product ideas. A fold up (fold down?) worktop extension that could be added to the doorway area of most vans was an idea that had already occurred to me. Wouldn't be the cheapest thing in the world as just the brackets are a few quid, but could be added very quickly and easily with just a few screws to many vans.
