Ariel photo of the storage area near Cardiff where I keep my van, must be over 800 vans there.

Just worked out that if they average £30k each there's around £25 million pounds down there 😱

How much do they charge per annum? Must works out very profitable for them.

Never short of spares then :giggler:

Eek! With some of them “looking” to be close together, I’d be worrying about a door opening up onto my van….

I checked for a better picture on Google maps. Most of them are caravans.

Think my old Nextdoor neighbour about 4 years ago use to charge around £350-400 a year for open storage, he had some that had not moved for years but kept on paying!!
Probably had about 100+ vans there.

Good money if you have the land. (y)

1400+ I believe.

My van is there as well.

I pay, 7.5mt van, allocated pitch, £115 a quarter.

Very good security, checks to get on the site, leaving in the van I'm checked against a photo ID card with my name and van Reg No. on it, van checked against the Reg No. and against another ID Sticker in the windscreen. The site is ringed by a security fence, security people and dogs, who patrol continuously, I get a discount on my vehicle insurance as it is a CaSSOA Cat5 rated site.

Additionally, onsite, grey water and black water dump, fresh water hose for tank filling, two car jet washing machines which charge £1 for three minutes, tyre pressure inflator @ £1 a go, coin operated vacuum cleaner. Commercial service and cleaning companies allowed to access the site with an unofficial area for them to work in.

Every Monday there is a comprehensive site, and vehicle, inspections. If they find anything on your rig that might need attention, details published on their Facebook page, no personal of Reg No.s shown, duty Manager contacts you directly via phone, text or email, to update you. I've been called in twice for leaving a roof vent open, most Facebook posts are for caravans leaving their stabiliser legs up.

Yes the pitches can be tight if your parking neighbour isn't tidy but the duty manager will contact them and ask them to sort it ASAP.

Fire risk is high IMO.

50/50 I would guess.
