Gov UK states that there are no weighbridges in Surrey. I can't believe that's true - Does anyone know of a weighbridge near Guildford so that I can check that my MH isn't overweight?

The recycle centre in Slyfield, but beware of the cost, I seem to remember it was around £20 last year.

Here is info from the Government website

There are a pair of weighbridges at the recycling centre in Moorfield Road GU1 1RU

You may find that if turn up at a time when they don't have much happening (IE NOT at the weekend!)
That you just drive on bridge and the operator will write the total weight on a bit of paper,
Expect to tip him £5 for the info.

If you want a certificate, or to weigh each axle, then it's an official request and the cost is typically £15-£40.

There is another one at Guildford Rd, Normandy, GU3 2AU

FYI - I dont live in Guildford, it took me 20 seconds on Google maps to find it.

A local quarry, landfill or waste site should have a weighbridge, just drive your van onto said weighbridge and walk into the office with a bag of donuts and ask to take a picture of the readout.

I did this recently and was told with a simile that they didn’t do public work but I could take a picture before I removed my van, the nice lady said they preferred savoury next time.

This was my Adria compact with full water, gas, Diesel, Adblue and fully kitted for a trip to Norway, it was minus driver, passenger and dog though.

Trouble is a lot of weigh bridges are the semi permanent type where you have to drive up a ramp onto them as apposed to the ones that are buried into the ground are are therefore a straight drive on..
Sure the ramp ones will be fine for total van weight but I can't see how they would be suitable for Individual axle weights..👍

The ramps aren’t so steep that they’re going to make a significant difference as commercial vehicles need to get on and off, if you’ve a mind to do it then park 1 axle just off the weigh plate and you’ll get a fairly accurate weight - if that isn't going to be accurate enough then you’re sailing very close to the wind.
