Pardon my ignorance but what doe DBTS mean? They have some on sale without Bluetooth, which I can live without but also without DBTS but I’m not sure if this is a big disadvantage

All I want to do is see what’s on tv for the week, a tv with a proper menu and it’s proving so difficult
We have a Avtex 16” tv dvd combo and a Snipe 2 aerial
What are we doing wrong ?
Gellyneck is Ferguson the answer then ?
Thanks for replies

If using a satellite dish you would have to go for a separate Freesat box to get a TV guide like the freeview guide.

As Manic says you need to get a Freesat receiver to get a full 7 day EPG.
Our Ferguson has a now and next EPG so won't be any different to what you've already got.
The receiver we went for was a Manhattan SX and works very well. It's 230v or 12v operation so can be used on or off grid. £49 seems to be the going cost at the moment.

It's dead easy to set up in that you connect the signal wire (grey?) from your Snipe to the Manhattan SX and connect that to your TV with an HDMI cable.
Select HDMI input (or similar) on your TV.
User manual is available for download from above website.

The major downside is that it's a separate box but it's a fairly small unit so can be located easily. Be aware the unit needs a line of sight for the remote to operate.
Let me know if you need further info.

We went for a Humax box, which has the ability to record 2 channels, useful when abroad, otherwise UK programs can be past our bed time! Also useful to record programs bro watch when too windy to put the dish up, we always seem to catch the wind, so this is useful.cab be run off 12v

I went for the humax hb1000s and fitted it in the wardrobe and used a cheap rf repeater to operate.sorry about the sideways photo

I've got an older Humax Fox Satwhich is great and has a usb connection from which I can copy hours of Radio 2 Blues and Johnny Walker programmes. I have to convert them to MP3 to play through the radio, but we find it a relaxing way to spend an evening in the van and listening to programmes I would otherwise miss. Plus we can record TV series and films as well. Do the Freesat 1000 and later ones have this USB? Sky boxes don't, something to do with excluding agreements I think.

I believe to use the usb for recording they need a powered hdd.

In my case it's not used for recording on to, but copying to. But if they still have a usb connection that should be OK, if the Humax still has that software facility (disk manager). I'm asking because I had a shock the other day when it seemed dead, I thought no, can't live without that!

Brilliant thank you now all ordered ?

We have a Falcon TV, can’t fault it.

This Deal is available to everyone on Facebook it’s certainly not exclusive to FUN ?View attachment 376717

I appreciate that but, (BIG BUT)

How many on here would know about it without our Illustrious Leader (On All ***** Be Heaped ) bringing it to our attention.

It’s in the magazine advert as an exclusive FUN discount which is a bit naughty of the firm in my opinion, not a problem but sadly misleading by the company ☹️⚠️

Hi
Finally received our box today ?
We’ve set it up and menu fine but 2 questions
How do I move across on days it just won’t

IV put in our home postcode but do I need to do that we ever we go or just this once to set it up?
Thanks in advance

On my Humax Freesat you move days by using the central buttons, left and right for days and top and bottom for channel

Missed the post code bit,
I only put it in once and then wherever you are you will get the news type Channels for you’re postcode.
