Just need an overnighter off ma1 m no facilities other than pub type food near south Peterborough, a toby style carvery or some such would be great, anyone got any suggestions?

Thers the Harvester at Alwalton or the Sibson Inn at Sibbington from Search for Sites.

Not a pub but plenty within walking distance and cheap brekkie Morrisons

Depending on how far south of Peterborough you want to be there’s a pub/carvery on the old north road which runs beside the A1M between junctions 8&9. There’s a big lay-by opposite and another down the road. Google earth it(y)

Thanks for taking the time out to reply everyone , plenty of choice there…

Bit north of Peterborough is The Inn On The Green at Coddington (turn off junction south after Newark, left in village). Made welcome there, very quiet.

A few showing on Search for Sites.

Sibson inn gets good reviews on search for sites. As does the Talbot inn at Stilton.

Stayed at the Sibson Inn a few times. The carpark is around the back so shelters some of the noise from the road and the menu whilst limited is pretty good for quality and value.

You need to call ahead to book a space but have never not found space there.

Thanks all, great suggestions, its a journey I make regularly and so have options for the next one.
Ended up overnighting in Barton on Humber, ( plans changed) at a picnic area at the end of Barrow Road. Nice. Thanks again for taking time to help
