Are these good, do you think they act as a deterrent, what cost to funsters!

Ive got some, and I know others have.
Hope i don't find out if a deterrent or not.

Same here and also have Milenco window alarms as a visual deterrent as they have the flashing LED.

I have some and think that they will at least make forced entry through the windows more time consuming for the thief, who will hopefully move on to another poor soul who doesn’t have them.
I am just adding inconveniences and as many time delays as I can for the prospective thief. (The rooflights continue to defy any attempts to secure.)

Lock M Out is a good product - don't know if Funsters currently get any discount?
We like the Milenco window alarms too - there are other versions available but we have found these to be reliable.

After losing my keys recently I was amazed how easy it is to gain entry through the window without causing any damage.

These are a great visible deterrent, and a good price, go for it. Easy to fit and remove if necessary.

@Gilly114

We also have them, as per our recent thread.

Any visible deterrent is an advantage that may discourage an opportunist thief. However, a really determined one will still get in if they are willing to inflict damage.

You will have to make your own decision as to whether the risk of additional damage is worth the extra protection, but it is a fact that any physical deterrent can be overcome by sufficient force. Even locks and chains can be defeated using cordless angle grinders.

We fitted Lock em Out to our windows. When parked up we have a strap around the cab door handles and, if the m/h is left parked for any time, (on our drive for example), we turn the driver’s seat and lock it in the reverse position. It also came with a Tracker fitted.

We can obsess about security or we can get on with life and enjoy our motorhomes, leaving insurance to pick up the pieces if the worst should happen.

Good luck and happy motorhoming.

It would cost me £162 to cover all me windows with Lock M Out things.. Though they are well made.

We also have a removable steering wheel, although it seems these are no longer available, we've never had any problems
