Lock it or not

Off to France tomorrow, been reading of a spate of fuel thefts from cars. Do you leave the filler cap unlocked and just lose the fuel or lock it but if desperate to get it anyway may suffer damage to cap and possibly filler neck?

Not often would you find a stranger filling your van with diesel,,but I get your point

I acnt not lock mine, but yeah Id make sure it was locked if not
maybe they woud go to the next van that is unlocked
