We're still without full satnav but have decided to go the next step and try an overnight stay tomorrow and Saturday night. The place looks to be mobbed out so all EHU pitches have gone! We're Unit 11 for tomorrow and Unit 19 on Saturday night. Any Funsters included in these bookings?

We had enquired about staying on Saturday night and they only had non EHU pitches left, this would have suited us but they wanted same price. We’re staying at a basic CL just north of St Andrew’s for £5 a night.

Where is the CL, please? 'cos if the 2 nights at Lochore work well, we may stray further afield! ;)

It’s just past Drumoig golf centre, if you’re a member of CMC you’ll see it there. If you can’t find it I’ll look on their website, it’s basic with no hookup but ideal for us.

Is it The Beeches? Never been there but was having a blether with someone a wee while ago and I think they mentioned no longer a C&MC tie-up but, as usual, I could be totally wrong!

Will this be your first sleepover in it? Did you name it?

Yes and yes! Tomorrow night will be the first sleepover; and the Burstner is called Brunhilde {Elaine's choice!]. Can never be anything else now ... ;). After 1 week of m/home ownership, I can say, with chauvinistic hand on sexist heart, that the m/h is like a good woman. If you want to keep them running well, you just gotta keep playing with them ... [Tin hat time ...].

'Well, everything was ok yesterday ...' Did I say that to Elaine or Brunhilde? Could have been both ...

I hate to admit it but looks like you’re correct, I just text him as had his number so didn’t realise he wasn’t a CL anymore.

marchie as it’s no longer a CL here is a link https://thebeechescaravansite.co.uk/

That looks a beautiful site! Watch out for Brunhilde Burstner sneaking in under cover of darkness! Need to speak to Elaine to see if we can stretch the trial to 3 nights [assuming there is space at The Beeches!]. Thanks for posting the details!

Oh that must have hurt! :giggle:
I reckon it was probably back in 2018 \ 19 I had the blether. Can't remember where we were at the time, right enough.

If he’s not a CL anymore he might take more than 5, plus not many caravaners as no EHU. We’re there Saturday night and possibly Sunday depending on weather.

Oh sshhhh ! stop being the bearer of bad news :giggler:
Better be dry tomorrow 'cause I'm working on the van fitting a new external locker lock that was "rusted" closed!
Then inside to try and see what's wrong with our Truma boiler. Nae workin at aw!

Wee bit of drizzle both days.:cooler:
Chucking it down at home though!:crying:
Yes, every time I've carried some stuff out to the m/h, juggling a plastic box of kit and the van keys, it's coincided with a cloudburst. And, when I've offloaded the box and can relock the van easily, the sun shines through the dark clouds ...

But it will all be worth it! Being close to home whilst having the luxury of trying the m/h out in live daily use will help us to learn what changes we need to make to our existing flaky and sketchy plans! Still to do battle with the Truma Control Panel, so that's tomorrow's homework ... (y)

schoolboys error of flue vent cover still on?
Nope.
When getting the anti-roll bar fixed took the opportunity to test \ check everything. EHU plugged in, filled with water, taps \ toilet \ shower \ lights \ fridge freezer \ etc all working. Boiler was on heating the water and went in to grab a bit of dinner and came out an hour later to unhook, drain down, etc and the water was only lukewarm. Looks at the control panel above the door and no lights on!:crying:
So, that's no power to the boiler. 12v fuse checked and OK so tomorrow is tracing it back to see what's up.
Praying it's just dodgy port for the panel RJ cable, or fuse blown, etc but I'm setting my mind on it's the power pcb.:crying:
Anyway, we are heading off for 2 \ 3 weeks and booked into sites with toilets \ showers open so I don't cause an environmental catastrophe!

It's your fridge getting fixed tomorrow?
Hi Grant,

Alex fixed the fridge yesterday lunchtime. By the time I had unlocked the m/h and walked round to the habitation door, he was just putting the new ribbon cable [to be a future 'spare'] in the packaging box, alongside the old unit! Less clockwork, more greased lightning! It's so nice to be able to switch the 12v on and off without alarms starting and having to poke around under the passenger seat for the battery isolator switch!

Sent the SatNav [corrupted/gubbed] SD Card back to the Dealer at lunchtime; they think they can coax it back to life or come up with a new/recycled card, so fingers crossed for about a week's time ...

As a newbie my advice to you would be " get yourself to as many meets as possible" theres always someone with knowledge that you can learn from. (y)

Grant,

Elaine and I are a pair of real lightweights when it comes to drinking. We went mad at Xmas/New Year and shared 2 x330ml bottles of Scottish Cider ... But we're always up for a laugh!

Steve & Elaine
I'm a tee total  but funsters are made up of all sorts. My mums 80, never drank in her life yet the life and soul of a party...if it has line dancing involved " Me .. I love ceilidh(y)
