Levelling

Plenty of bidirectional levels in caravan shops. I use the worktop surface and/or the floor by the door. See what you see feel as level and go from there.

If it feels level it is level you can double check by opening a draw if it stays half open its level side to side & the fridge door will tell you how it is front to back.

Level on the cooker, then open the loo door and see which way it swings.

I use the same bit of worktop every time.
No idea if it gives me the correct reading but it ‘feels right’
(I also find beer greatly assists the levelling process)

we use the table, which is fixed, behind the cab seats + how it feels

When I first got the m/h I levelled the bed using a two-way spirit level then found an equally level spot that I can reach from my driving seat (on the floor beside the handbrake).

If you open the Truma app and go to the tools section you’ll find a handy level tool there, here’s phots of us tonight and one where I lifted the phone to show when not level. You need to put your wheelbase distance in

We have two checks we use:

1 - put a little water in the kitchen sink and watch where it pools/how it drains, and

2 - Where does the bathroom door swing to, or not.

I think a MH is a bit like a bath you seem to make the outer level flat but just like a bath it slopes inside, if the fridge works on gas then it’s not far off, their tolerance is very low. We went for self levelling on the new van but I’m still not sure it’s right.

I used to faff around with a 2 way spirit level in the back by the beds as Mrs Colpot needs to be dead level to sleep. Even tried getting Mrs Colpot to lay on the bed and tell me when it was level but up and down on the ramps played havoc with the clutch and our relationship.
We went for Levelling jacks in the end.

Which part to level is a matter of priority.
Some things you can tolerate better than others.
It could be the table, so that you can fill glasses to the brim...
or the hob, so that an egg stays where you put it in the fry pan.
A drop of water in a saucer (or bowl) can be one way to measure.
