started with a hobby vantana in 2017
We've just changed our vantana
For a Adria compact DL .
Very happy with it ,but we are looking at fitting jacks .
Does anyone have recommendations for a system

We have an Adria Compact SC and I thought twice about having the E&P levelling system installed due to the initial cost. However, after 8 weeks away where we used them on every occasion we stopped - even when ‘camping on board’ the ferry purely to stabilise the van - I wouldn’t be without them.

I used Courtside Conversions in Tiverton as they are just down the road from me.

Another vote for the HPC system fitted by AS Suspension in Warrington. Excellent system and extremely helpful and competent company.
Don’t be concerned with locality, it’s a motorhome, will travel. We traveled over from East Yorkshire to Warrington for the right system fitted by the right people.

Knock the weight of your old now redundant wheel jack and plastic levelling ramps off of that. ;)
The wheel Jack and brace supplied by Fiat are certainly heavy enough probably around 18-20 kilos at rough guess
As you say add that to the Milenco triples and your probably around the 30kg mark

What system did you have was it VB air which I am considering.

Exactly our situation although ours were fitted to our Fiat Ducato Wildax Con4. Game changer.
I was worried that the rear plates were a tad close to the ground so Courtlands also replaced our sagging bump stops with VB semi air which enhances the driving considerably such that Trish knows when they need topping up!

I used the Dunlop rear air kit and detailed the installation HERE.

Not too difficult even though it was a first time on a Ducato with the electric parking brake, so needed the older, shorter drop links for the anti roll bar.

We also went for HPC fitted by LNB Towbars in Bristol. The system is quite a bit lighter than others, which was the main reason for choosing it. LNB is the main U.K. importer of this Dutch system and did a really neat job installing it.

They will all improve your comfort and convenience, but they all come at a cost. We have never regretted fitting them.

Don’t forget, you need to find a place to install the hydraulic pump unit. LNB adapted a place in our garage so the pump is easily accessible and out of the muck.

I made some jack pads out of spare tanalised timber and have used them a couple of times when we’ve decided to park facing down on a slight downhill slope, as the Ducato sits slightly nose-down to start with. May be worth considering.

I have just had the HPC system fitted by LNB towbars in Bristol and they did a brilliant job. Previous van had the E&P system but the HPC is much easier to use if you just want to stabilize without necessarily being level as it can do that automatically. Both systems did/do allow me to do it manually but I can’t always be bothered to faff around.

E+P fitted by solar solutions in Dorset. They also fitted air bags in the rear and an external bbq point at the same time. All going well so far. Levellers are brilliant, initial cost stings a bit, but every time you stop and park they pay back.

They maybe now but they’re ‘Jonny come lately’s’ compared to AS Suspension in Warrington. When we had ours fitted in 2017 AS was the only company I could find in the country importing and fitting the HPC system and they’d being doing it a few years prior to that.

I am wondering about the ferry, I have levellers fitted but wasn’t sure about deploying them when on the ferry! One side it stops the van wobbling about as the ferry moves, but on the other the levellers are now subject to forces that they may not really be designed for, particularly in rough seas. They would be designed for the static load of the van+, but not the dynamic load of the boat crashing into waves and the subsequent acceleration and deceleration of the van… I’m tending to think I will leave them safely retracted on the ferry and let the suspension do what it’s designed to do.

Alco are the best and they have just taken over E & P. On my system have just fitted a weighing device. On my Smart phone I select weighing and it checks all three jacks and tells me the result (3650 Kgs.) I think it is brilliant!
