I’m pretty sure mine’s got a cell gone shows 14.v but put any load on it then drops to less the 5v
I’m looking for recommendations for a replacement fed up with how long they last or don’t

Thanks for that I was just looking at agm batteries as they are supposed to last longer

As you have a Burstner I take it that it's an AGM so no surprise it's failed.
I would replace it with an Exide or Sonnenschein Gel, both made in the Sonnenschein factory.

Not original fit then.
I take you have an Elektroblock charger distribution system, check the charger settings a small slide switch (normally right hand side). It will be either Flooded cell /Gel or AGM/Gel, if the later fit a Gel AGM are total crap for leisure use.

Thanks for that so if I purchase a gel battery I’m assuming I will have to slide switch

Why are they not lasting...? What is your charging regime...? Solar, EHU, B2B or other and how long is the van standing around not going anywhere....

no point in buying a new battery for it to die in a month...

I’ve had the van since last July it’s been over to Belgium for two weeks and has been used four or five times since then probably adding up to another couple of weeks last used Christmas for two days I had a solar panel fitted on purchase which charges both batteries (engine and leisure) I noticed last week the battery reading on leisure was on the low side so plugged in van to charge battery I’ve not used it off grid so haven’t flattened battery
I did have the heating running for several hours (12v fan) but was always ehu

The battery may have been left discharged before you bought it, especially if you brought from a dealer. The original battery would have been Gel.

Just asking a basic question.... Does it make a difference to the Elektroblock if the van and hab batteries are different ie LA and Gel?
Thanks.

Mine failed last year, I bought an Exide ET650 from Tayna (100Ah)
Gets good reviews and also some recommendations from Funsters for this battery.
Relatively heavy for it's size, a good sign.
