I have one fairly new battery fitted but there seems to be other unused connections next to it ? Can anyone tell me what they are for ? There is not enough room to fit another like battery next to the existing one which doesn’t seem to hold its charge very long. Hence was thinking of two . Base vehicle ducato 250 Autotrail tracker ek.

Sorry can't help with the additional wires but they do appear to have a specific purpose having plugs like that, certainly not aftermarket or DIY.
The battery may look new but if you don't know its history it may be past its best if it's been abused.... Very deep discharged a few times. etc.
It doesn't take much to kill them.

Not sure from photo angle but I think battery is positioned incorrectly and should be turned 90 degrees then 2 will fit. Wiring is for 2nd battery, plug in lead from Sargeant will fit on to 2 nd batery.

On my Auto-trail those cables are for a second leisure battery, but if there's no room for another battery it's a
waste of time.

Hi all thanks for your advice . I reckon joka has hit the nail on the head re two batteries and positioning. Are the second battery connection leads available from Sargent? The ones that actually attach to the battery? Then I guess these ones hanging then plug into them?
