Currently have 2 x Varta LFD90 will be replacing shortly
Are these still okay or has anyone got any better recommendations?

Varta still gets lots of recommendations.
Replaced both of mine back in Sept 2020 with same ones..
Obviously with lockdowns not been able to get out and blinkin use em

Replaced mine with an LFD90 last year.

I have had a pair of Varta LFD 90's fitted for the past 5 years and they are now starting to show their age. I have been more than happy with them, but I am going to replace with a pair of Halford's HLB 700 batteries, which are the same as Yuasa L36 EFB. More expensive but another 20 amps total and more modern technology. I have a Halford's trade card that gives me 20% off so makes them cheaper than the Varta's for me.

I've also been looking at what replacement leisure battery to buy, my current battery is a Lion brand (animal not lithium!) 110ah low height battery

The Varta LFD 90 is only 90ah

The HLB 7000 is only 100ah (it needs a vent tube to the outside - as do many others)

So, the question I have, is what 110ah low height battery to buy?
