Hi!
The leisure battery will not charge up whilst engine is running, it will charge from 240v hook up. We have checked the fuses, that all wires are connected and that the earth is ok. We have no idea how long this may have been the case as have never spent more than 5 days off-grid. The van is a 709F Rapido on Fiat Ducato chassis.
Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks :)

I had this on mine, have you looked inside the square white box in line. Sorry can't remember what's it's called but has a 5 amp fuse inside the box, maybe a relay as well. It's about 100 mm square . I have one just behind the drivers seat and another near the leisure battery. I'm sure someone will come along and advise the technical term for this controller.

How long did you try to charge it for? It will take a long time to charge a flat battery by alternator alone, unless you have a B2B fitted.

If your cab battery is receiving 14.2 V ish when engine running you know alternator ok and it's a big fuse somewhere, maybe 25 Amp.
