Hi everybody. I’m in the process of installing a second leisure battery under the passenger seat of our Hymer and a victron solar regulator. Can anybody give me a wiring diagram as to link the batteries and does the solar regulator only go to one of the leisure batteries? I also need to be able to charge the starter battery through solar. Any info greatly appreciated.

You can just wire the batteries in parallel use at least 16mm sq cable.
I think the Victron is only a single output regulator so will need to use a CBE CBS2 Solar split charge relay or a Batterymaster. I prefer the CBE relay less than ½ the price & I prefer the way it works.
If you have less than 300 watts of solar you can make the battery connections from the solar to the Solar connector block on the EBL.

I found fitting the dual battery solar charge controller so very much easier to fit... ;)

Just connect positive to positive and negative to negative of the two batteries together with a decently fat cable sufficient to supply the current the battery could in theory produce. Anything above 35mm2 should be sufficient if they are right next to each other, try to keep the cables the same length and as short as possible and make sure you use appropriately sized crimps on each end.
As for where to wire the solar controller, it doesn't really matter which battery you connect it to. In an ideal world it would would be equal distance between the two but this would require the addition of busbars which is a whole load of un needed faff on a simple two battery bank.
As for charging the starter battery as well, if the victron charger uou have doesn't have a dual charger setting and appropriate outputs, you'll have to buy a split charge relay to go between the hab battery bank and the starter battery. ??

But he already has a Victron Regulator.
I have a dual regulator a Votronic I still used the CBS2 as the regulator only has a 1 amp output for the starter battery, the CBS2 can charge at up to 4 amps also if the leisure batteries are fully charged it will charge the starter battery without any solar input.

Thank you everybody for all your help.
Ive orderded x2 Sonnenschein gel batterries and 16mm wires to join the two batteries.
Is it right then i only have to link the solar regulator to one of the leisure batteries to feed them both? I will also order a battery master to sort out the starter battery, which i assume there will be more questions as im useless with electrics!!!

Both batteries will be in parallel so the regulator will see them, as a single battery. Makes wiring easy if you connect to the solar plug on the EBL.

How do i connect the regulator solar plug on the EBL Lenny?

Even ONE battery is actually 6 batteries linked together to make it 12v ? so no you don't need to worry about which one you connect it to.

Its two wires ?
Connect plug to said two wires from charge controller and plug it in. DONE.
Although I'm pretty sure this only charges the hab battery without another modification to the loom And that then, will charge both hab and van battery.

 Thanks for your patience. So the + and - wires from the regulator what numbers on the EBL?
