I am a newbie
Hi folks, leaving Spain via Bilbao 1200 on Sunday 23/10/22
I know this is a late ask but where is best to park night before, check in scheduled for 1000 on the Sunday?
I have heard that you can park up at the port but anyone know nearby aires etc?
Any advice gratefully appreciated
D

We use the camperstop at Kobeta

Very peaceful with superb views. €15?

Gordon

On my last drive to the port there was a 2-lane road with "Ferry" signed under the left-hand arrow. Loud horns from lorries following me made me decide that using the RH lane was a good idea

We parked up at the port, admittedly a few years ago and had hell of a night with people trying to break in the Motorhome

We'd second this - I think there's a length restriction in the hostel parking (we rang ahead, very helpful) & we stayed the night in the site further up, fantastic views over the city. Bus stop outside down into Bilbao. We said we'd stay longer if we were doing that crossing again.....

Gordon, thanks 😊
Mrs D found it an hour ago but had no recollection 🤣
Is it really only 18 minutes to the port?
Seems ideal
I shall book

We stayed at the aire last year above the city. Amazing views looking down on the city, particularly at dusk / night.
There is a bus into the city, but dogs not allowed unless crated. We therefore walked into the centre and back up again. A bit less than an hour each way.
Really classy and interesting city, especially the Guggenheim.

Agree, and from memory you can use the hostel facilities, showers, toilets, TV room etc.
