I am after a bit of help. We appear to have a leak coming from this connector, this feeds water to the toilet. I have tightened up the little screws which hold the pipe crimps as tight as I can and it’s still leaking very slightly. What would be the best way to repair this? Should I just take it to bits and smear a bit of silicone around it or replace the joint inside the pipe with a new one if so what are they called?

If the straight connector inside the pipes is long enough I'd loosen the 'Jubilee' screw clips and slide them say 1/2" back along the hoses without disturbing the hoses on the connector. Sometimes the hose becomes a bit 'kinked/wrinkled' when the screw clips are tightened allowing water to weep out. Failing that, if you have enough hose cut say 1/2" off each end and refit the clips, preferably with new ones if conveniently available.
If that doesn't work it's worth checking that the straight connector (the fitting inside and joining the blue hoses) hasn't distorted.
It really shouldn't be necessary to use silicone sealant and I doubt that it would help.
The clips do need to be tightened really well.
You probably know that warming the hoses will make them easier to use - either with a hair drier or by immersing the ends in hot water.

Cheers will try that.

Assuming there is a short piece of rigid pipe connecting the two hoses, it may be worth replacing it, for I also assume you have already tried tightening the two jubilee clips and could have distorted the pipe inside.

Also the clips could have been overtightened cracking the joiner.
I would replace the joiner with a nylon one they are a lot stronger than the plastic ones.

Also, try using a jubilee clip one size down, the ones in the photo look to big for that diameter and not going to seal properly under the screw.

Replace with John Guest push fit connectors. Looks like 12mm
