Is there an app to show these places ? We are off for long trip across Europe and will need to was some clothes on way. laundry.jpg

if you put launderettes into google maps it will show the ones close to where you are.

A lot of campsites have machines if you intend to stay on one occasionally.

A lot of supermarkets have washing machines for public use.

If you are spending time in France then many of the super markets have washer and driers outside and are available 24/7.

I posted this link a few days back for ones in France. Just change the location for different areas of France. Not sure about other countries

A lot of Super U & Intermarches have them in the carpark, we solved the problem carry our our now, much more convenient.

I just Google lavanderia or laundarette near me and it will show them up.

Always found one no probs

Park4night also shows some of them now , I try and add ones when I can

This shows the ones in France. I haven’t looked for other countries.

Unfortunately, Your link doesn't show the two nearest to me at supermarkets, nor a long-established "shop" in Aixe-sur-Vienne. However, it does show two others I wasn't aware of.

I would suggest "Google is your friend"

Yeah, sorry. I should have put "this shows some of the ones in France" rather than "this shows the ones in France". Bit like the All the Aires books, it's not all the aires, just some of them.

I think my link will just show the Photomaton branded ones.

Unfortunately we're never away long enough to really need the use of laundrettes.

:roflmto:

Only just realised it's a thread from earlier in the year and I had already replied previously. Which is really weird considering I thought I had read the whole thread before posting.

I did like the geniously simple idea previously suggested by busby who said all you need to do is place your laundry with water and detergent in a bin with a fixed lid, then just drive. The rocking motion of the van would act like a washing machine. I am guessing a more intense wash could be achieved by finding a cobbled section of road (cyclists will be au fait with the 'Hell of the North' pavé principle). When you arrive at your destination rinse the laundry and hang out to dry.
