When we stayed last year we paid at the barrier. Is the Aire now part of the Campingcarparks system or am I just muddled ( it doesn't take much doing, nowadays)

stayed in june just pay with debit card push the right button and its all in english

Thanks, I told you I was muddled. We are going to stay a couple of days on the way home in a couple of weeks. We will try the vet, I’m not sure how we will get Casper to take a worming tablet. Our usual vet lets us put it in his food.

The vet will allow that, in fact he sometimes does it himself. He's also quite good at pushing it down the back of their throat.

Th vet gets quite busy, bearing in mind it's a satellite office and the vet isn't there all the time. If you've got access to the internet, it would be best to make an appointment in advance. I use Google translate and sometimes get a reply in English. Email address is clinvetcedre@hotmail.fr.
Entry to aire is easy, but you must make sure your front wheels are in the marked area close to the barrier, and don't lose your ticket, you need it to get out.

Thanks, I will email today. As for pushing a tablet down his throat, you have seen my avatar haven’t you. He’s not nasty, but I’m not sure how they will get his mouth open. It’s a bit like taking his temperature, many a vet had given up in the past, but at least they are working at the other end!!

If you have trouble getting a suitable appointment, they have a branch up the road about 15 km at Bourg-Achard

He's pretty efficient as well - last time we used him it took 4 minutes from going into the building and us leaving the building after the dog being examined, tablet taken and Pet Passport signed and stamped.

€15 plus tablet at €7.

You can use your own appropriate tablet/s.

Not CCP It’s 6€ plus 40 cents per person per 24 hours all in English on the machine. This is from last Thursday. ‭+33 2 35 05 37 67‬ is the number for the vet.

Yes stayed a couple of days ago still 6 euro plus tax not part of the camping car park at the minute

Have you used the Vet at that location ?

Was it the same price as Maillaraye ?

I was at the La Mailleraye vet last Friday and I always take the worming “kit” in my handbag.

One plastic container with 3 or 4 strips of soft brown bread buttered and suitably spread with duck pâte.
Required amount of Drontal tablets still in their foil packet as the vet has to note expiry date etc.
One teaspoon for crushing said tablets on lid of plastic box.Dip the bread into the tablet.Job done.
Daisy then gobbles it all down and licks the floor afterwards.

Sounds great, but our dog simply won’t take anything (voluntarily) in a Vets. Probably due to years of experience.

We visited the Vet at Mailleraye-sur-Seine last week. Two tablets required, both had to be pushed right down her throat using tweezers, while I held her. As a GSD/Border Collie Cross that’s not too easy. It was not a pleasant experience.

Our usual Vet in Burgundy only gives one tablet, so half the trauma.

The Aire was barrier operated last week. Simple instructions in English for use of credit card and a total of 6.6 euros for two persons for one night.

It’s still one of our favourite places to spend a couple of days.

I had similar concerns before a trip to Germany and on the thread Wont Take His Worming Tablet had as usual very helpful and supportive responses!

Be sure to take the receipt when you enter the aire as you will need the code to open the barrier to leave.
