Nice site but expensive,,Decent walking and cycling close by..BUSBY.

I`ve done both, Drive and Ferry. The cost was nearly the same for us. Mind I only got 11MPG on a good day!.

Nice site, we stayed there last May. Spotless toilets and showers and right on a beach. Near the Marina, only about 15 mins walk.
Good cycling outside too.
Only downside was the busy dual carriageway road that runs right past it.
It was very noisy even in the night, its only a small site so pick you pitch carefully, we moved to be behind the main block which helped a little.
If you’re a sound sleeper this won’t bother you.

Lots have been. Back in 2014 I helped arrange a rally there for Motorhome FUN and over 30 vans attended. We had a wicked time.
It's an old site that's had a revamp, facilities are very good but pitches and roadways can be a bit tight for larger vans. You can even catch the bus over the road to La Linea and walk into Gibraltar.
As for driving down, lots of free Aires on the route, so no cost there.

Been to the site a few times, It is expensive but I've enjoyed it main points:

Between the main road and the beach pathway.
Road side pitches can be noisy
Toilets and showers are good
Washing up facilities are outside
Some pitches are shaded
There's only a smallish outdoor pool
The shop is ok
There's good cyclable restaurants in the Duquesa port.
The on-site restaurant is good
The dump station is right on the edge of the facility
Excellent access to Gibralter, book rental cars from Bruno's in the port (very good value and no probs)
On-Site Club has some very good acts and shows, Stelvis is fab.

It's a very good site, I will probably go back again, drive down from Santander/Palencia/Salamanca/Merida/Servilla/Duquesa
It's a fabulous trip enjoy.

It isn't the nicest of locations and looks crammed. I'm not sure that I would enjoy a month there. We know the area pretty well but haven't stayed at that site.

We've been here.
Good - great showers.
Bad - restaurant only opens a few nights in the low season. Expensive and didn't take ACSI.

The only site we have visited 5 times in the last 7 years for all the reasons quoted. However as also mentioned manoeuvring around the site is made difficult by the poor road design, but increasingly since its opening by the irresponsible free hand given to the site gardener who considers trimming low branches and allowing others to extend into the pitches and already tight roads as a religion to be defended at all costs. However his stranglehold appears to be relenting.

Dazzlin Surprised you liked my post about this site..
I hope that tree is feeling better now !!!!!!
You knew how to make an entrance. ?

:wink::rofl:

Cheers Steve.
I was going to post about out adventures on that site, but thought, nah, someone else will do it for me.

At least it was easily sorted out in maroc....

and yes, I echo everyone's sentiments about trees and lack of space to access pitches.... ?

We are on the site now , it is a nice site a little expensive for what it is though . The road noise is quite bad had to resort to ear plugs at night but others have said they don’t hear it ?. It’s a nice walk to the marina with plenty of bars and a couple of super markets across the road . Can’t help you with the route as we came from Portugal .
