knaus Sun ti battery cover

Hi all in the know. We bought our 06. Knaus Sun ti last Sept and have not been able to remove battery cover on the side of van. We have, with difficulty unlocked and turned the two plastic knobs but cannot shift the cover at all. We think that the cover should flip downwards on a hinge. We would be grateful for any advice. Dont want to use too much force in case it breaks. We wait in anticipation. Thanks.

As you can turn the knobs it should be unlocked, it could be it has not been opened for a long time and the rubber seals have stuck, when they stick they really do stick. You may have to prize it open & replace the seals as they will tear.

I agree with Lenny, you could try pouring some hot (not boiling) water around seal, best of luck

Thank you for your advice. Seal was stuck. Hot water and a tug solved the problem.
