Hi, we are new to Knaus having owned Hymers and a Swift kontiki 649, we currently have a Hymer B654 star edition but would like to get back into a twin axle van, looking at the Knaus sun liner 808 LEG, one for sale at Pullingers, wondering what the quality of these vans are like, its a 2006 plate so quite older but we are beginning to like the older vans and we find that they were probably better made, our old Hymers definately were and our 2007 Adria coral was better quality that the Swift. Anyone who may have owned the van please contact me or any quirks or things to look out for that are a common fault with them please let me know, any info much appreciated. Thankyou https://pullingers.co.uk/motorhomes-search/all-motorhomes/2006-(06)-knaus-sunliner-808-leg.html

We have a Knaus Sun Ti 650MEG Platinum and love it, the build quality in my opinion is far better than some of the more expensive brands. When we bought new 4 years ago we looked at Hymer, Carthago and a couple of other brands and Knaus came out in top for us.
They also own Morelo so obviously like building quality products.

It was once owned by Phillipsheila on here, how would I contact them, thanks

Very good make and quality construction and parts used.

And to help you next time you put an @ symbol followed immediately by the forum name so 356boy shows it highlighted and sends a message to the person so they know they have been flagged. :giggle:

Knaus Sun Ti 650 meg for us, love the lay out, build, design and quality.

forgot to say, you're right about older build being better.

That wouldn’t put me off necessarily, but getting spare parts for the Alde (heating)if it’s model 3000, might be hard to source. Alde no longer support this model.

Almost £3000 to replace the boiler.😳

Parts are still available for the 2020. Can't imagine it'd be any issue obtaining parts for the 2030.

Sorry - ignore that. Misread the model..

In my experience it’s an excellent system. Gas gets the van toastie in no time. There are spares for the 3000 out there, but they are increasingly harder to come by. The van looks very tidy imho, it might be wise to have a service on the Alde if you go ahead. BTW it’s not just the Alde, but all the other systems on board are the age. Be assured though, that vans were a lot better built then than now.

oh how we know they were built better then, thanks for your input, we are going ahead with it, it will get a full service, hab check and mot etc..

Has anyone had problems with the curved plastic cabinet above the sink, useless catch on it, what have you folks used if changed, any ideas, thanks
