Hi I want to replace my motorhome kitchen tap will any kitchen tap from a plumbers suffice or does it has to be a special one for a motorhome I do not have any micro switches on board

Depends on what you have at present, but I replace the tap on the PVC we had with a house type cheapy off of Amazon rather than paying the 70 odd quid for the Reich version, just check that the hot and cold tails are the same as yours

you may need a hodge podge of fittings to join them onto what you have and what the domestic tap comes with. Most nowadays are 1/2 inch loose nuts

There's loads of cheap caravan taps on eBay.
Be sure if you need a micro switch one or not

I am not sure that all taps in DIY stores are suitable. Houses built nowadays have high pressure water systems rather than the low pressure tank in the loft you used to see. We have a low pressure system in our house and I had a job getting a suitable tap when I was replacing mine

Your motorhome pump usually works on 1.5 to 2 bar of pressure, which is low pressure compared with modern houses. So make sure the tap you buy for the motorhome is suitable for that pressure. BTW you will struggle in some shops (real and on line) to find out what pressure their taps are designed for!

And, as others have said the house taps will rarely come with fittings that would enable you to attach them to the pipes used in motorhomes. So you will have some fun finding what adaptors you need.

£10 bargain bin end of line B&Q tap for me. Plud £10 of adaptors to take me from those flexi pipes they have under sinks at home and from that to a push fitting for the existing MH pipes.

Pressure should not be a concern if you use a ceramic cartridge tap (easily spotted as less than a turn from open to closed).
