Hi
just bought the above for my van. This may sound a bit daft but I have bought the carpet to fit into it, but do I need to put a groundsheet down first before laying the Kampa awning carpet inside? Or do I just lay the carpet directly on the ground? If I lay when on hardstanding, I’m concerned the the carpet could become damaged. Sorry if this sounds dim, but no instructions as purchased second hand. Thanks for your help.

You shouldn't use a groundsheet with an awning carpet if it's grass as it won't breathe. Most sites only allow breathable awning carpets. We have a Kampa Air Awning and carpet and never use a groundsheet under.

I can’t see a problem using a ground sheet on a hard standing pitch .

Bit pointless really as a hardstanding won't damage the carpet and it's something else to carry.
