Its about 27ah by my calculations so for half that price you could have nearly double the capacity and a safer battery technology, the only downside would be it would be heavier.

We don’t have a sensible place for a second battery we could put one in the garage, but too far away from charger routing cabling would be a nightmare. We usually manage ok, but dread the battery running low and not being able to power John’s CPAP have considered lithium, but am worried about their performance in the cold weather.

These powerpacks are great for tenters, but you should see how many motorhome youtube influencers advertise sorry, review them.

I can't think of a single practical use for carrying a spare loose battery in a motorhome.

Is it a Lithium battery? Can't seem to find any specs on it? Who's the manufacturer?

Why are they always advertised as Generators? They don't generate anything.

Unless you like to sit in your van with the inside temperature well below zero it won't be a problem.
You just need to make sure they are not charged below zero.

The only spec I see says, "Capacity: 325Wh Built in battery technology: 100% high quality lithium battery cells" so it won't be LiFePO4 ;)

As Jim said on you tube it’s the latest craze , jackery seems to have given loads away to the vloggers to use and keep. Must be some money in selling them to cover the costs of all the free ones.

I met a guy on a site a couple of months ago who swears by these battery packs, he had just sold his original one and got a more powerful one.
He said because they are portable you can take in the house to charge, use solar to charge when in the van, if you change your van no messing about removing equipment etc. He was using it to watch television and charge stuff as we were speaking he said.

Being able to move easily to another van is a plus point for us less technical people like me.

For me they would be ideal.

I have a multipurpose transit van which has double batteries. However the second battery powers all the auxiliary power requirements. Putting an inverter on it doesn't seem a good idea. However with one if these you distance the inverter from the main battery and stop it getting run down. Being lithium too it can take being deep cycled better that lead acid... I could be talking garbage though.....

Cheers James

battery isn't within the motorhome body. rather in a box undernath the van but accessed from inside. the van is insulated well, even ha a heater oulet in the casette compartment! so would hope the battery compartment is suitable insulated, think I really need to put a thermometer in there in the winter to check.
Oh and no way i would sit in a freezing van but also need the battery for the blown air, sometimes I hanker after my old van which had a gas fire, still my favourite way to heat.

My son has two of these that he used for a recent robot project. They powered an industrial robot for most of one day with lots of power to spare. Quick to charge from mains - 0 to 80% in an hour.

Its handy if you dont want to fit an inverter. If you want to power things in an awning or away from a socket. Having USB, 12v and 240v outlets it will power any sensible wattage item. The inverter Is pure sinewave 500w with 1000w surge.

Everything we’ve been asked to look at to evaluate is an expensive gimmick.

The batteries are to small, the DC charge takes ages, and a few hundred watts is the best the inverter manages

Great as others have said for a weekend tent trip
