..when you crawl under the van to check one thing, and you find something else that makes you take a sharp intake of breath.
In this case it was a very loose engine mounting nut, I suppose it had potential to break the cast mount eventually with the stress on the two other bolts so disaster averted I'd say.

It's a nyloc nut so chances are it was never tightened from new or not tightened the last time it was removed.
Nyloc nuts don't just come undone.
That's what I thought, it hasn't been undone in the ten years I've had it, so that leaves eight years of who knows what.
