Hi to everyone. I have been browsing the forum for some time, but just joined as a full member today.

My name is Ray, and I am an ex-pat Brit, living permantently near Lake Constance in south Germany, almost on the border with Switzerland and between the Black Forest and the Alps. I have been in Germany for 40 years now.

We have a Eura Mobil 585 KB built in 2002, and have just got back from touring east/south Spain for 3 months, which we have just done for the 5th year, getting away from the cold (but dry) German winter.

We have been motorhoming for 14 years and Germany really is a great place for it, with aires almost anywhere you want to go.

Welcome to the forum.
I`m heading to Germany this year for the first time setting off in two weeks.
Crossing to Koblenz then down the Moselle to Trier, then Black Forest to Rhine Falls.
Maybe some of Bavaria if weather is good.
Looking forward to it.
Is May weather usually ok ?
We Brits need some sunshine after our everlasting Winter this year !

Thanks to everyone for the Welcome.

In answer to Figaro....Some good choices there.
If you go through Bavaria, there are some great medieval towns on the Romantic Street such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen, Landsberg am Lech. All of these have good Stellplätze (aires).
I wish you luck with the weather. Generally southern Germany is very good for weather, having a Continental climate, but May can sometimes be a bit dicey.
