Air suspension finally finished yesterday bellows was first job now compressor and gauges all fitted and leak tested all okay enjoyed fitting it and seeing the end result , must say the components were all of excellent quality first outing will be next week see what difference it makes .

I had the same job done on my Iveco self build by a top mechanic in Sennybridge.

Brilliant bit of kit...

You will think you are driving a new van.

Seriously will it be a big difference ? Set it at 3 bar at the moment will see how that goes , can always adjust from cab .

It made a huge difference to my van...

No doubt you will spend the first few weeks playing with your compressor, trying different pressures, but I bet after time you will settle on one that seems best and soon you will forget you even have them fitted...

i have always meant to ask what is the best pressure. I have mine set at 8 bar. do you think this might be too high?

Mine is on 4bar though I do fiddle with it sometimes.

Just a novice with it at the moment first outing is today heading all the way from Scotland to Fairford for the Airshow , but from what I have read so far maybe 8 bar is a wee bitty too high , but as I say I'm just a novice I'm sure someone on here had a bit more experience with the pressures .

I run my VB air assisted suspension at 1.5 - 2 bar

8 bar is the max pressure for a Dunlop but we run ours at around 2 bar and its fine.

8Bar is way too high, it must ride like it's on bricks not springs! Dunlop systems are rated at 7Bar maximum but a typical pressure would be between 1& 2 Bar. I run mine at 0.5 solo or 1bar with the trailer and race car on the back (4500kg mtplm h2l4 Ducato maxi panel Van, normal running weight is around 3450kgs.

Hi guys
Well just back from the RIAT airshow at Fairford a great break in session for the air suspension and I've got to admit I did not realise it would make such a big difference , smoother ride a lot more stable around roundabouts and bends , when passing lorries on motorway the side pull is very minimal especially at 70 mph , and it stood up well to the seriously bad road surface from Muirkirk to Douglas section of road , all in all glad I decided to go ahead and fit it . Well chuffed .

Haha good point on that one I'm afraid when it comes to computers it's not my kinda thing my grandson actually commented on it as well , Oh and he's 10 by the way I'm afraid computers show me up , sorry about that
